Chapter 5
“Ah, that feels good,” said Mona, who was seen taking a deep breath.
“That's right. Today was a really fun day.”
"Every day will be fun, too. Trust me," Elena replied, grilling the meat that had arrived.
“Wow, this looks delicious.”
“Do you want a beer?”
"Of course."
"This is going to be a fat dinner. Is that okay with you guys?"
“I don't care about that kind of thing at all,” Mona replied.
"Me too."
“Good. Guys, there’s something I want to talk about first.”
"What is it?"
"A while ago, it seems the other members of the Classical Literature Club started leaving. They had good reasons. That's why I don't think I can keep them," Elena said honestly.
"What are you talking about? Of course we are," replied Firentia.
“The problem is that the core people are starting to leave.”
"Then you just have to find a replacement for them."
"True. than dissolving it. Wouldn't that be much better?"
“I can’t do that,” said Elena, looking a little gloomy as she grilled the meat.
“Why? What's the problem?”
“The club was actually destroyed a long time ago.”
“What? How is that possible?”
“Someone told me. And they started revealing the facts, and that's what happened.”
"Wait a minute, which club are you talking about? On campus or at school?" Mona asked.
“School club.”
“Oh my gosh, where do I think it is?”
“Eh?” suddenly Firentia also felt surprised.
"I've been listening seriously, and it turns out."
“Sorry, this is just a joke.”
“What kind of joke is that? It's not funny at all?”
“Come on guys, let's eat.”
"It's a perfect combination with a glass of beer."
“Don't let anyone get drunk. It's a hassle.”
"Great ma'am."
“But this is fun too.”
A beautiful night filled with a BBQ party by the three of them. The atmosphere looked very good, plus, it seemed the two of them had grown closer and now felt like very close friends in the past few days. The meeting that seemed to be fate, made them look so happy under the sky that seemed full of starlight. They continued to shine throughout the night and this atmosphere was created and increasingly warm. Their faces were radiant and now they had finished all the food and also the beer they had ordered. It felt like they could not stand it anymore.
"My head is really dizzy," said Mona.
“You're drunk.”
"Gosh, I already warned you earlier," said Elena.
“Ah, I want to throw up.”
“Hey, don't joke around.”
“Then we should just go home.”
"Yes. I also feel like it's getting late. And besides, this kid can't control himself anymore."
"Too much."
After the two of them finished carrying Mona and taking her by taxi, they then went home. On the way home, Firentia suddenly remembered something she had been hiding from her. A faint shadow suddenly made her feel unsteady. Slowly she tried not to remember it and continued to shine under the same sky. So far, she had done her best and it had been a very good achievement in her life. The first time she felt everything was okay was that day. The day where she achieved an extraordinary victory. There were many people on her side. However, there were also those who opposed her and they even cursed her. It all just happened without any signs. And now she was experiencing it too. Even though in front of them both seemed fine, actually she was very angry and wanted to punish them.
“Did you hear that? Firentia is here?”
“I heard about it. And besides, that kid seems popular.”
“Are you crazy? He’s not that popular at all.”
“Really? How can you be so sure?”
"Someone told me the truth. At first, I thought the same as you, but after hearing everything, I immediately changed my mind."
“Who did you hear it from?”
"Of course, he's a very trustworthy person. He's known the secret since he was in school."
“Wow, that's big news.”
Many of them continued to talk about her, and it was all unpleasant to hear. All this time, she had seemed calm and unaffected by what they were saying. Firentia then left the area, and as she was about to leave, Elena appeared in front of her, overhearing everything the two women behind the wall were saying. Elena then pulled her hand away, and that's when she said something to Firentia.
“Don’t listen to them,” Elena said.
"I know it."
"Those idiots are deliberately spreading nonsense to make people hate you for no reason. You don't have to listen to their rotten talk. Everything will be fine."
“Thank you for not being influenced by them Elena.”
"You're welcome. I knew from the first moment I saw you that you'd have many enemies, and it turns out I was right. Don't lose your spirit."
“You are so kind, Elena.”
“Indeed, we should be kind to anyone under any circumstances.”
“Oh yeah, aren’t you busy right now?”
"Ah, yes."
“How about going to the cafeteria? I’ll take Mona too.”
"Too much."
Elena gave him strength, and all the obstacles that weighed him down seemed to vanish. Far from where everything had become gloomy, he slowly began to return to the light, to be with the two of them. A beauty beyond words. At that time, and now, Firentia was about to board the bus in front of her.
