Chapter 3

Before she knew it, it was already 4 pm. The three of them had spent quite a long time together. Now Firentia decided to go home. She was seen going to the bus stop and waiting for the bus that was going her way. While she was waiting for the bus, it turned out she was looking at some posts on social media. She looked calm, but not long after that she boarded the bus along with several other people who were going home in the same direction as her. She continued her activities and not long after that she stopped. Firentia, who was feeling happy inside, looked radiant and made her feel as if she was in the main spotlight. When she arrived in front of her house and then entered her house, it turned out she was alone because her family was always busy. She was seen entering the house and then lying her tired body on the bed. During her day today, many things happened and that made her feel even happier because what happened to her was still in the same place in the same atmosphere. After that, she then went to the bathroom to clean herself.
“Firentia? What’s wrong?” Mona said to Elena.
“Are you really happy?”
“Of course. There's no way I'd be sad.”
"That is not what I mean."
"So what?"
“If you look at it, it seems like it's just one side.”
"Weren't you like that too? What are you talking about this time, Elena? Honestly, I've known you for three years in high school. I already know all your traits, so that's why I stopped being curious."
“I have no intention of doing that at all, it's just that there's something I want to do even just once.”
"What do you mean?"
“Being friends with you guys seems like it would be really interesting.”
“Huh? You’re talking about that again?”
“Do you not like it when I talk about this?”
"No. Not like that."
“Oh yeah, I feel like this will be the start of my new life.”
“Forget it. You’re just making my blood pressure rise. And what do you think about Firentia?”
"He's a good person."
“Oh my, I know that too.”
“Forget it. I was just thinking.”
“Don't joke around.”
Elena and Mona, who turned out to be going in the same direction, were seen arguing a little on their way home. On a bright and warm day, everyone was giving the best smiles of their lives. The city's sweet atmosphere made anyone who saw it feel like they were in a state of bliss. Mona then glanced at a street that seemed devoid of any anxiety and it made her feel both relieved and strange at the same time. Elena who saw it then watched her without saying anything. The longer it looked, the more it seemed to blur and that was how she felt. Her vision that seemed to be colored slowly began to turn black and white. At this moment, she felt like she was in a different dimension until she finally came to when she heard Elena's words calling her.
“Mona, what's wrong with you?”
“Ah, it's okay.”
“You were just looking over there and daydreaming. Is something wrong?”
"There isn't any."
“How long are you going to lie?”
"Can?"
“I asked, is there something?”
“I told you there aren’t any. Let’s go.”
“Are you feeling unwell? Is it happening again?”
“What are you talking about? Of course not.”
The two of them continued their journey until they both arrived at their respective residences. At this time, Mona, who had previously seen something clearly in front of her eyes, then rubbed her eyes until she finally rested in her bedroom. On the other hand, she who had started to close her eyes felt strange and continued like that until she fell asleep. Elena, who was sitting in front of her desk, was busy working on something. In front of her was a lot of work that had to be done by her. Because of that, she looked overwhelmed because everything had to be finished as quickly as possible. She was already used to this so it didn't make her feel stressed at all. Not long after, someone called her and she immediately answered the call.
“Halo?”
"Elena are you busy?"
“Oh, what’s up, Mona? It’s rare for you to call me.”
“Don’t invite a fight, I have something to say.”
"What?"
“Am I starting to go back to how I was before now?”
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
“I felt the same thing before. My vision felt unreal. What does this mean?”
“Are you starting to hallucinate again?”
“I don't know. I don't think this is a hallucination.”
"So?"
“A kind of vision that refracts light.”
“Hmm? I'm confused.”
“Oh my God, what’s going on? Am I going crazy?”
“Didn’t you just say you were fine? So what does this mean?”
“I lied.”
"What?"
“I lied earlier to cover up the strangeness.”
"I already guessed."
“So, what do you think?”
"I think I'm exhausted. That's why I'm seeing strange things, which could be described as visual hallucinations. You should go see a doctor."
"I don't want to."
"Why?"
“Just lazy. That's all.”
“Okay then, I can’t force you.”
"What are you doing?"
“On the phone with a strange hallucinating person.”
“Stop making fun of me four eyes.”
“Ah, it feels weird not to argue with you.”
“Don't tell this to anyone.”
“Of course. Why would I spread your secret?”
“Good, you can be trusted.”
“Now you should just rest. Don't think about strange things.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
Mona then ended the call and is now sleeping in her dark room. After she called Elena, she suddenly felt relieved and then closed her eyes. It was getting late, Elena was still working on her unfinished work even late at night. Many things made her have to stay on the straight path. Some people might judge her as an ambitious child who only cares about herself and that makes her feel indifferent. Even so, there are times when she feels insecure and that's human. Everything that happens to her will not always make her okay and even vice versa. The next morning, everyone was in class and attending the morning lecture. Elena was also there and apparently Mona just fell asleep during the lecture.
"Finally it's finished," said Mona.
"Were you sleeping?" asked Firentia.
“Yes, that's because the explanation made me sleepy.”
"He's like that as usual," Elena replied.
“What? You know about him?” Firentia asked innocently.
"Yes, we used to be the same school and what's worse is that we've always been in the same class."
"Wow, that's great."
"What's so great?"
“I think that's very interesting,” Firentia said with a smile.
“Hah, you are so stupid.”
